The “Building A” of the Serbian Army General Staff, located on Kneza Miloša Street in Belgrade, due to significant structural damage caused during the 1999 NATO bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, as well as many years of exposure to atmospheric conditions, represented an exceptionally complex and demanding undertaking in terms of the design and execution of rehabilitation, demolition, and structural stabilization works to prevent collapse.

The first phase of the project included the preparation of technical documentation, namely the rehabilitation, demolition, and structural stabilization design for the damaged “Building A” of the Serbian Army General Staff, as well as obtaining all necessary permits from the competent authorities.

The second phase of the project involved the execution of rehabilitation and demolition works, including the following:

  • Preparatory works and part of the rehabilitation works
  • Remaining rehabilitation works and seismic strengthening
  • Removal of sections of “Building A” and temporary seismic strengthening
  • Preparatory works and removal of sections of “Building A”
